Detailed Biography & History

Incarnation and Early Years

Jesus of Nazareth is the eternal Son of God made flesh, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary in Bethlehem. Fulfilling ancient prophecies, the Savior grew up quietly in Nazareth, working as a carpenter while increasing in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man.

Ministry, Signs, and the Kingdom of God

Following His baptism by John in the Jordan River, Jesus began His public ministry preaching: 'The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe the gospel' (Mark 1:15). Through the Sermon on the Mount, transformative parables, cleansing lepers, calming tempests, and raising the dead, He demonstrated unmatched divine authority and compassion.

Atoning Death, Resurrection, and Everlasting Reign

At Passover, Jesus offered His life on the cross as the perfect, spotless sacrifice for the sins of the world. On the third day, He broke the power of death and walked out of the tomb alive. Appearing to hundreds of witnesses, He commissioned the Church to go into all the world before ascending triumphantly to heaven, where He is Lord of all.
