The Fisherman Who Left All for Christ
Simon son of Jonah was running a fishing partnership on the Sea of Galilee when Jesus called him to follow. Renaming him Peter ('Rock'), Jesus invited him into the inner circle of disciples along with James and John. Peter witnessed the Transfiguration, the raising of Jairus’ daughter, and Christ walking on water.
Passion, Failure, and Divine Restoration
Known for his bold spontaneity, Peter made the foundational declaration: 'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God'. Yet in the dark hours of Christ’s trial, fear seized him, and he denied knowing Jesus three times. Broken with grief, Peter was tenderly restored by the resurrected Jesus beside a charcoal fire on the Galilean shore with the commission: 'Feed my sheep' (John 21:17).
Pentecost Leader and Shepherd of the Flock
Empowered by the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, Peter stood courageously before crowds and rulers, leading thousands to salvation. Through visions and divine appointments, he opened the door of the Gospel to the Gentiles in Caesarea.
