Hey Carpool Crew,A whole new year is almost here, and that can feel huge to a kid. Be better, try harder, do everything right. It's too much to aim at all at once, and most of it slips away by the second week. Today on Carpooling with Jesus, Pastor Justin opens Philippians 3:14, where Paul aimed at one goal and kept pressing toward it. Your kid doesn't have to fix everything this year. They just need one good word to aim at, picked with God, like brave, kind, honest, or steady. Hey Carpool Crew,Babylon tried to change Daniel with dinner. Today on Carpooling with Heroes of the Bible, Pastor Justin continues the Daniel journey with the famous food test. The king offered Daniel and his friends the richest food in the kingdom, but that food came with strings attached, and it would have meant going along with Babylon's gods and Babylon's ways.Daniel said no. Not rudely, and not with a scene. He decided ahead of time, asked permission with respect, and proposed a ten-day test of vegetables and water. God honored it, and Daniel and his friends came out healthier than everyone else. The real story underneath the food is integrity. Hey Carpool Crew,This is the one. Today on Carpooling with Heroes of the Bible, Daniel goes into the lions' den. Pastor Justin tells the part of the story we've been building toward since episode one: the jealous officials caught Daniel praying, the king was trapped by his own unchangeable law, and Daniel, around eighty years old, was lowered into a pit of hungry lions and sealed in with a stone.But God sent His angel and shut the lions' mouths. In the morning, the king ran to the den, and Daniel was alive, without a scratch. The episode lands on the truth that changes everything: God did not keep Daniel out of the den. God went into the den with him. We will never be promised a life without dens, but we are promised we will never face one alone.This episode helps kids name their own dens, the doctor's appointment, the hard thing at home, the bully, the sadness at night, and learn to pray right in the middle of them.
