November 23rd: Thankful for What I Have | Devotional for Kids Carpooling with Jesus Kids Devotional
Carpooling with JesusHey Carpool Crew, it’s Pastor Justin — and today we’re talking about something we all deal with sometimes: wishing we had what someone else has. Maybe your friend got new sneakers, a cooler backpack, or the video game you’ve been wanting. Suddenly, what you have doesn’t seem so great anymore. But here’s the truth: God wants us to be thankful for what we already have.In Philippians 4:11, Paul writes, “I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I find myself.”Paul didn’t say that while sitting in a fancy house — he wrote it from prison! He didn’t have much, but he’d learned something powerful: real happiness doesn’t come from stuff — it comes from knowing God. Paul discovered that no matter what he did or didn’t have, God’s love was enough. If Jesus were sitting next to you in the car or at the breakfast table, I think He’d say, “You don’t need what everyone else has. You already have what I gave you — and that’s enough.”In this episode, we’ll learn how to say “I love what I have” instead of “I wish I had more.” You’ll see how a thankful heart changes the way you see everything — even your lunch! Gratitude helps us notice the good things we often miss: love, friendship, family, and the simple gifts God gives every day. Before you go, talk about this together: What’s something you already have that makes you thankful? And remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you.Christian kids podcast, Bible stories for kids, kids devotional podcast, Jesus podcast for children, short Christian podcast for kids, podcast for kids in the car, faith-based podcast for children, Christian content for school mornings, daily Bible podcast for kids, morning devotions for families, Bible podcast for elementary kids, Jesus stories kids love, teaching kids about faith, helping kids follow Jesus, Christian parenting resources, raising Christian children, encouraging Christian kids, learning about Jesus for kids, Christian media for families.
